Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a natural unrefined oil, extracted from the castor bean (“oil nut”). It is produced by a traditional method which is believed to retain all the essential nutrients of this oil.

Our Jamaican Black Castor Oil Treatment is a proprietary blend of vegetable carrier oils and essential oils in a real Jamaican Black Castor Oil base and the following are some of the oil's specific properties:

  • Stimulates hair follicles to promote hair growth;
  • Known to soothe the scalp and alleviate the scalp discomfort individuals with Alopecia often experience;
  • Conditions, softens and adds sheen;
  • Prevents itching;
  • Most effective as a leave-in, nightly or hot oil treatment, and to base the scalp prior to perming.

How to use Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO):

1. Use it to give yourself weekly (1 hour) hot oil treatments
. Prior to shampooing, apply the Jamaican black castor oil to hair and scalp, then cover with a conditioning cap for 1 hr and allow your body's natural heat to condition and treat the hair. This hot oil treatment will help to not only stimulate the hair follicles, but it also aids in protecting the hair's shaft.

2. Add some to your conditioner for a deep conditioning treatment: After you have cleansed your hair with our JBCO Sulfate-free Shampoo, combine 2/3 JBCO Conditioner to 1/3 Jamaican black castor oil in a bowl and apply it to your hair. Leave in for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse and style as usual.

3. Try it to help stimulate dormant hair follicles: If you are experiencing hair loss or Alopecia, sometimes a good product can support you in regrowing your hair. This particular product is often used as a leave-in treatment. So basically, massage the Jamaican black castor oil hair treatment into scalp every night for three minutes to stimulate the scalp and hair follicles. You may also purchase a scalp massager, and give yourself occasional scalp massages.
